When I got it, I took it out for a quick look because I didn’t have time to try it, and was shocked at how sharp it was. If fact, when I put it back in the sheath it cut right through all the stitches.
When I had a little time I went out to the wood pile to do a little chopping. I really didn’t think the nearly razor sharp edge would last, but after chopping through it few 1” branches, and whacking a bunch of chunks out of a chunk of maple I was pleasantly surprised to find the edge had held up, no nicks, or curled edges, and still as sharp as when I started. I’m not a knife thrower, but was able to throw it 8 -10’ into a long without much trouble.
Because of the size and flat shape, it will eventually find its way into my bug out bag.
It got 4 stars based on it could have had a better sheath, because it deserves one, and the para cord wrapped grip loosened up pretty quick when I started really chopping. That said it’s well worth the money to have in your bug out bag.
