  • This is my new favorite knife

This knife is legit. I had no need for another knife, I've got plenty. However after it arrived and I felt it, my immediate impression was how solid this felt. It was factory sharp but after I ran it through my sharpener it was extremely sharp. I cut my thumb just by lightly feeling the blade. I've had it for a week or two now and I really like this knife. It's possibly my favorite knife. I have a Camillus and a Smith and Wesson knife that sit up at the top of all knives I own, this knife belongs with those 2 in my collection. If I had to fight for my life with it the knife would perform better than I would most likely. It's just a heck of a knife.

  • My off hand retention weapon

I carried a Karambit off hand retention knife for countering strong hand firearm grabs (former law enforcement, tactical training and operations). I ordered THIS knife to be my retention combatives off hand weapon while in the area as it meets all legal scrutiny for open carry. The knife itself is great!! It's become a new favorite, next to my also always-carried Cold Steel Spartan. It now delivers rock solid performance and never pulls free by accident. So when I need the knife, I KNOW that ONLY the knife will come out when I pull it.

  • Seven months of hard use , still going strong

I have used this knife as my go to for seven months and I have used it for everything. This is a sturdy reliable and attractive knife that has not yet met a task it could not meet. It retains a great edge and the spine is thick enough to provide a very robust heft. I have had no issues with the tip either, it is sturdy and has not shown any signs of being brittle. The handle feels good in the hand and holds up very well regardless of how dirty or wet the work is. End of the day you cannot beat the value for the money here!

  • Feels like an expensive knife

I knew I was taking a chance on this knife but I'm glad I did. The knife is surprisingly heavy and will definitely stand up to harsh use. The blade was very sharp right out of the box and didn't require any sharpening. I really like the sheath. The knife feels comfortable on my hip and the blade locks into the sheath really well. This knife feels like a very expensive knife. All in all, I am very happy with this knife and would recommend it to anyone.

  • Perfect for my tactical rig

This knife bar none has the best bang for the buck. The blade is roughly an 1/8 - 3/16 of an inch thick. It is by no means flimsy. The blade came with an edge but will need some fine tuning to get it up to snuff. I bought this because of the kydex sheath—I used 550 cord to secure it to the front of my rig. Perfect for my needs. Over all for the money, amazing buy.

  • Sharp and hasn't dulled

I bought this to add to my personal safety while away from home. Fortunately I have never had to use it for defense, but this knife is sharp and hasn't dulled in almost a year now. The ABS sheath holds the knife with good retention & keeps the knife secure and concealed under my shirt (never tucked in). Great carry knife for personal protection.

  • Great for kayaking. Durable and lightweight

Very sharp. Great for kayaking. Durable. Lightweight. This knife handles water activities perfectly and has held up to everything I've thrown at it on the water.

  • Well made and comfortable

So far I have had the knife for a bit and it is very well quality and very easy to have on your hip or fits very well on your belt. Looks amazing and feels very well made. The quality exceeded my expectations for sure.

  • Good for spin-throwing. Nice grip texture

Decent knife with good balance. Good for spin-throwing. Nice texture on the handle grip that gives you solid control.

FAQs

Is this really sharp enough for serious use, or will I need to sharpen it right away?

The Black Fang comes factory-sharp and ready for action. Customers report cutting themselves just by lightly touching the blade, and after months of regular use, it still holds a razor edge. Whether you're slicing rope, processing game, or handling tactical tasks, this blade is sharp out of the box and stays sharp. And when you do eventually need to touch it up, it takes an edge beautifully with any sharpening method you prefer.

How does a $15 knife compare to my $150+ tactical blades?

That's exactly what shocked our customers. One reviewer who owns premium Camillus and Smith & Wesson knives said the Black Fang "belongs with those two at the top" of his collection. A former law enforcement officer who carries a Cold Steel Spartan daily calls this his "new favorite" and uses it as his off-hand retention weapon. The secret? We cut out the middleman markup and brand premium. You're getting full-tang construction, quality steel, and tactical-grade performance—just without paying for a fancy name stamped on the blade.

Will this hold up to actual hard use, or is it just for show?

This knife is built for punishment. Customers report using it for everything from field dressing deer to batoning firewood, daily EDC carry, and even tactical operations. The full-tang design means the steel runs through the entire handle—this isn't a rat-tail tang that'll snap under pressure. The thick spine provides serious heft for heavy-duty tasks. One customer said it best: "This knife has not yet met a task it could not meet." It's a worker, not a showpiece.

I'm left-handed—will this work for me?

The paddle sheath is designed for right-hand draw, but left-handed customers have found two solutions: Either carry it on your right side and cross-draw (works great for many), or modify the sheath with Kydex clips on the left side if you want a traditional left-hand setup. Several lefties have reviewed this knife highly, saying they adapted quickly and it hasn't been a big issue. The knife itself is ambidextrous—it's just the sheath orientation to consider.
